OUR STORY

Established in 1979, Salvino has been run by the Salvino brothers for over 40 years. Originating from Sicily, a town called Agrigento famous for the Temples, Antonio took the business over from his uncle Salvo, whilst he was still a teenager. His brother Stefano joined him a few years later.

Food is a passion shared by the whole family, along with the high quality products they sell. The deli was originally a cash and carry, supplying many restaurants and cafes across London, but Antonio and Stefano had the vision to transform it into a specialised local delicatessen.

Over the years, they have provided some Italian culture to Camden, attracting different clientele, interested in exciting traditional family recipes. Along with their hand picked Italian produce, they provide a speciality in Italian wine, with over 50 varieties on offer from various different regions of Italy.

Saturday is one of the busiest days of the week. There is a family atmosphere in the shop, with traditional home cooked food available, such as handmade ravioli, prepared on the premises every other weekend, along with home made sausages: classic, garlic, fennel and chilli varieties. Also available are a selection of traditional sweet and savoury pastries, such as sicilian cannoli and arancini filled with ragu or spinach & mozzarella. Why not pop in to try one of our famous sandwiches, freshly made on the deli, accompanied by a proper coffee!
